Jill's Crusty Lamb Recipe Low Carb

 

Ingredients

Servings: 6-8

 

1.5 kg leg of lamb

1 egg, beaten

30g margarine, melted

1 1/2 cups soft wholemeal breadcrumbs

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp marjoram

1 small onion, sliced

Cooking Methods

  1. Brush lamb with beaten egg, then place in a greased baking dish. Reserve 1 tablespoon beaten egg.

  2. Combine margarine, breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, salt and marjoram. Mix in remaining egg.

  3. Press mixture over lamb, then press onion rings into seasoning mixture.

  4. Bake in a moderate oven 180 degrees Celsius for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is cooked. Cover crust with foild when it is crip to prevent over-browning.

  5. Serve with baked sweet potato, spinach and tomato saute.
