Today, we know scientifically that fenugreek seed powder is a potent agent for reducing levels of fats and glucose in the blood. Fairly hefty amounts of fenugreek, around 15-50 grams twice daily, are required to seriously lower blood sugar levels. Since defatted fenugreek seed powder is a somewhat bitter substance, it usually requires the person to swallow it in capsules. 50 grams of capsules twice daily is a lot of work.
