Low-Fat Ginger Snapper Recipe Low Carb

2 x 500g whole snapper, cleaned

2 tbsp fresh root ginger, chopped

4-6 cups boiling water

2 tbsp soy sauce

4 shallots, finely chopped



1/2 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup water

1 tbsp olive oil

Cooking Methods

  1. Make three incisions diagonally along one side of each snapper, then insert two-thirds of the ginger.

  2. Place remaining ginger in a wok filled with enough boiling water to cover the fish. Add soy sauce and bring to the boil.

  3. Place fish in water and cook for 10-12 minutes or until flesh flakes. Then drain.

  4. To serve place cooked fish on a heated platter and pour sauce over the top.

  5. Serve with steamed rice and stir-fried cabbage and baby corn.


  1.  Combine all ingredients. Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
