Few Tips On Learning To Cook

There are many people who love to cook and many who are learning to cook. People know they won’t be able to live on takeaways all their life and need to start a healthy lifestyle sooner than later. Many of us started to cook after we moved away from our parents house because we realised our mothers are not going to be there to make us dinner every day. Few read cooking books to have some knowledge on how to start cooking.

You will be able to buy second hand books on cooking on the Internet or through your local book shop. I know books are expensive but there are some stores and website which do second hand books from only £1, so you won’t have to spend a lot of money on them. Reading books on cooking is a way forward for those people who do not have any idea on how to cook. Another idea on learning to cook would be to look and learn when someone is cooking. The techniques they use while cooking will give you an idea of how to start cooking.

Cooking the food might seem easy but the hardest is not the cooking, the hardest part is preparing the food. Every cooking book you read will have a short desription on how to prepare the food before you get to the nitty gritty of cooking. A lot of people have said that while cooking the preparation of it is why it takes so long to cook. If you get the basic knowledge of preparing the food then cooking shouldn’t be a problem for you. As I mentioned earlier being a shadow or watching someone cook is a great way of understanding cooking.

I shadowed my mother in the kitchen every day for 6 months before I moved to University. I learnt her techniques to prepare the food and to cook the food. Then few weeks before to University I cooked few meals for my family and it wasn’t that bad as I thought it would be. I never used to read before now because of the cook books I also read fiction books.
